Why Families
Choose COA

Discover what sets us apart – and how we support your child’s growth from the very first day.

Educational Philosophy

Children of America offers a holistic approach to early education through our exclusive Mind & Body Matters™ programs. These integrate academic skill-building with fitness, character development, and emotional learning. Our programs are crafted to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond – social-emotionally, physically, and intellectually.

And the children aren’t the only ones doing the learning, we also value and invest in the continued growth of our staff. Through ongoing professional development, training, and coaching, we ensure that every member of our team is equipped to deliver the level of care and educational quality that your family deserves. This commitment allows us to create meaningful experiences and lasting impact in every classroom.

Safety first, always.

At Children of America, your child’s safety is non-negotiable. Every school is designed with multiple layers of protection, including CPR- and First Aid-certified teachers, secure entry systems, and clear visibility throughout the building. Observation windows and classroom cameras allow for continuous monitoring, while our playgrounds feature designated fall zones to support safe, active play.

Combined with predictable routines, consistent teacher presence, and thoughtful classroom structure, these measures create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and confident from drop-off to pick-up.

COA Always Close By – Peace of Mind, Anytime

At COA, your child’s safety and your peace of mind go hand in hand. That’s why we provide secure, real-time classroom camera access through our Family Portal. With just a few clicks, you can check in on your little one during the day—whether they’re learning, laughing, or napping.

Our ACB cameras give families the reassurance of transparency and trust, helping you feel connected to your child’s daily experience, no matter where you are. Because when you choose COA, you’re not just enrolling in a school—you’re joining a community built on safety, communication, and care.

And thanks to our COA Always Close By™ platform, families get peace of mind knowing we have live-feed video monitoring in every classroom and common area. These cameras provide an added layer of transparency and accountability, so you can feel confident your child is safe, seen, and supported – always.

Most importantly, our zero-tolerance policy ensures that all eyes are on your child at all times. We are a cell phone-free zone and maintain a distraction-free environment, so our teachers remain fully focused on the children in their care.

The Power of Parent Partnerships in Education

We believe children thrive when families are actively involved. COA encourages collaboration through open communication, daily updates, parent-teacher partnerships, and school-wide family events. It’s a shared journey from enrollment through graduation.

We also emphasize the importance of being present and engaged in your child’s early learning experience. Through regular parent-teacher conferences and ongoing communication, families receive insight into their child’s growth using Key Developmental Indicators (KDIs). These observations allow us to tailor learning to each child and ensure progress is shared meaningfully with parents throughout the year.

When can I enroll my child?

We accept new enrollments year-round, so you can register your child at any time—not just at the start of a school year or semester. Early registration is recommended to reserve a space in your preferred age group and schedule.

COA serves children from 6 weeks up through 12 years of age. This means our infant, toddler, preschool, pre-K, kindergarten/KE, and school-age programs are all available to support families at many stages.

Yes. We offer both part-time (defined as fewer than 5 hours/day, with a minimum of 2 days/week) and full-time (more than 5 hours/day, minimum 2 days/week) care. The availability of part-time schedules applies to all age groups, including infants.

At Children of America, we believe that Mind & Body Matter — because true learning happens when children’s intellectual, social-emotional, and physical needs are all nurtured together. Our curriculum is built around this philosophy, supporting the whole child through four integrated pillars:

  • COA STAR Curriculum – Our proprietary classroom framework creates a dynamic learning environment where children build independence, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Teachers use daily observations to tailor experiences that encourage exploration, decision-making, and self-management.
  • COA Just Read Program – The Magic of “Bentley” – Reading is at the heart of lifelong learning. Through our original Bentley Book Series and the Traveling Bentley Program, children develop a love of reading while learning essential social and academic lessons. These experiences also promote empathy, imagination, and responsibility.
  • COA Nutrition Program – Healthy Habits – We emphasize the vital connection between mind and body by helping children build healthy eating habits early. Through nutritious meals, hands-on food education, and family-friendly recipe tips, we empower children and parents alike to make wellness a daily priority.
  • COA Presidential Fitness Program – Fitness Starts Early – Physical activity is a key part of our learning environment. Our THINK, BE, DO campaign incorporates fun, age-appropriate exercises that promote endurance, strength, and lifelong healthy habits — because when children move their bodies, their minds grow stronger too.

Together, these components form the foundation of our Mind & Body Matters philosophy — a holistic approach to early education that ensures every child grows intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

At our schools, we use an advanced security system where parents enter with a unique PIN and must show identification at drop-off and pick-up. Children are only released to approved individuals. Our outdoor play areas feature soft, child-safe surfaces (no wood chips or gravel), and gates remain locked and monitored at all times — with no entry or exit points through the playground. In addition, security cameras are installed throughout our facilities to help ensure a safe and secure environment for every child.
